# Bareface Refund and Cancellations Policy Explained

> Every Bareface portrait is a bespoke hand-drawn commission. Learn about our cancellation window, refinement rounds, and source file policy.

Every Bareface portrait is created specifically for you — hand-illustrated by a studio artist using your reference photos, with no templates and no AI. Because each commission is a unique, made-to-order work, **all sales are final**. We do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges once production is underway. That said, we do provide a cancellation window before work begins and include two rounds of refinements to make sure you love the result.

  Custom commissions cannot be refunded once production has started. If you need to cancel, you must contact us within 24 business hours of purchase and **before** your artist begins work.

## Cancellation Window

You can cancel your order for a **full refund** if you act quickly. To qualify:

* Your cancellation request must be submitted **within 24 business hours** of purchase.
* Production must **not yet have begun** on your portrait.

To request a cancellation, email [hey@bareface.io](mailto:hey@bareface.io) as soon as possible and include your order number. Once our artists have started work on your commission, cancellation is no longer available and no refund will be issued — even if you request to stop work mid-project.

If Bareface needs to cancel your order for any reason on our end (artist unavailability, inability to meet timeline, etc.), you will receive a full refund automatically.

## After Production Begins

Once your portrait is in production, all charges are final. Our commitment to you at that stage is to deliver a high-quality, hand-illustrated portrait that meets your expectations through our refinement process.

  Every commission includes **two complimentary rounds of refinements**. Within each round, you can submit as many adjustment requests as you need. If you're not satisfied after receiving your portrait, use your refinement rounds before reaching out to support — they're your best path to a result you love. If you've completed both rounds and still have concerns, contact us at [hey@bareface.io](mailto:hey@bareface.io) and we'll work with you to make it right.

Refinement requests must be submitted within **7 days** of receiving your portrait or the previous refinement. If no request is submitted within that window, your order is automatically marked as "Approved" and no further changes can be made.

## Source Files

Source files (Photoshop documents) are available as optional digital add-ons to your portrait commission. Because these files are delivered digitally and immediately accessible upon delivery, **source files are non-refundable once delivered**, regardless of the status of any other part of your order.

## Teams Program Orders

Team commissions follow the same core policy with a few additional considerations specific to bulk orders.

    Cancellation requests for team orders must be submitted within **24 business hours of your deposit payment** and before production begins. Email [hey@bareface.io](mailto:hey@bareface.io) immediately with your order details to initiate a cancellation.

    Team orders are processed as a single commission. Once production begins, the order **cannot be partially refunded** — no refund will be issued for individual portraits within a team order, even if some portraits have not yet been started.

    Source file packages for team commissions are **non-refundable once any files have been delivered**, even if the remaining portraits in the order are still in progress.

    Each portrait within a team commission receives the same two complimentary refinement rounds as individual orders. Refinement requests must be submitted within 7 days of receiving each portrait or the previous refinement.
